oh how i love the art of the ordinary. but more than that, i love to recycle old discarded things. i should really post some pictures of some of my recyclables. like the back of a chair turned into a picture-frame. or a kitchen cabinet turned book-case.
i use the defamiliarization technique - look at the item as if for the first time, and then you won't believe what you can come up with.

You absolutely have to post pictures of your recycled creations. I think that ability, to see something old for the first time, is a gift, and a good technique to practice every day. Can't wait to see them!
